Uninstalling Windows98 for XP Home

ok, i am installing WindowsXP Pro, but it is warning me about installing multiple operating sytems, i wanted it to replace Windows 98 COMPLETELY!

How do i uninstall Windows98 to and then install WindowsXP?

format hard drive? or do you want to keep your data?

i have no data on this one
it is on my other drive which isnt in the computer
so i want to completely reformat it

Throw your xp cd in the drive, boot to it. when you get to the section on setting up xp have it delete the partition that 98 is on, then repartition and format it.

i changed it. i had the option of updating to XP or putting the whole thing on new.

now it is installing.

when it is done can i redo it?

top right corner of your screen where it says welcome and then your name. private messages is underlined so you can click on it. Are you installing xp on the system in your signature?
