Unknown programme runs on startup...

Ok when I start up my computer, it gets to the desktop and this window pops up and says do you want to run this programme thing. It's the window that comes up when you download something and you chose to install it. I think I downloaded something but it didn't work but now I can't get rid of this window that keeps showing on start up. I keep pressing cancel but it's annoying. There's nothing in the add/remove programmes tool and I've run a virus scan and theres no infection. How can I stop this from popping up on startup?

Well if it was running you can to to task manager and find it in processes and right click and choose file location and it would bring you to where it is located, but that's only if it's running. But unless it's a virus i wouldn't mess with it.
