unlocking my thumb drive

I have a SanDisk Cruzer Micro thumb or flash drive... I forgot the password I used to secure it and entered an incorrect enough times to lock my drive. The message I get now says I have to delete everything on the drive and set up a new password if I want to use it... is there a way around this? I only use a handful of passwords and given a couple more goes at it I am sure I could unlock it... so is there a way to do this? or are my files gone?
Thank you for any help!

There's probably a way, but it's not allowed to be discussed here. Discussion on bypassing any sort of password protection is against the rules of this site.

Not 100% a flash drive password is considered as part of the rule. It simply says bypassing administrator login or any other login. Though, to be on the safe side, I'll just say, take it to a computer shop or the Geek Squad. Most places offer a password reset service.
