This PC is from one of my customers. Her PC crash really bad. I tried to correct the unmountable boot volume thru the Recovery Console. Steps already done below.
1. Ran Chkdsk /r /p to force... No Luck only goes to 25%
2. Fixboot and FixMBR.. Nothing at all.. Ran several time the chkdsk same results.. 25% and then stops with an error..
By the way off course NO SAFE MODE IS ALOW:mad:
The HD is not even accessible thru DOS this is way I need to try to recover my customer's info another way, when a DIR in perform all I get is enumeration error. The BIOS identify the HD Status BAD-BACKUP- REPLACE…
Customer DATA is really important... I can see the HD using Active Recovery partition. If someone know a utility that can help here to try to copy the DATA by segments to a secondary HD I installed for backup purpose.

Right this is what you need to do. You need to download a tool called Hiren's Boot CD, it has 100's maybe even 1000's of tools you can use, you dont need to go into Windows just BOOT off CD's
You can get it from here:
http://www.ddlboard.com/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownloaddetails&lid=40&ttitle=Hiren

It's a very big download (50MB) and you need to burn the image to a blank CD. This is probably the only thing that will make it work.
If you need help PM me
Hope this helps.

You could also try Spinrite, it has saved my butt quite a few times where most otehr tools wouldn't touch a drive.

:2: Hey guys sorry.. I was busy working on it, I've read all your replies THANK YOU... ISSUE Resolved. Here are some TIPS you might want to use if any of you come alone with this ONE and a BIG Bravo!! to my Colleague who pointed me in this direction!!!:D

After dealing with the issue for 3 days know, working day and night trying utility pass utility... Ran across the HD Regenerator, Norton Disk Doctor and a few other more utilities for fixing bad sector, Boot and MBR... Finally last night I decided to try another utility to fix HD and to make the story short. SpinRite DID the JOB.. Now I'm on my way backing up my entire customer's data... To you all out there if you come across this one... Don't even waste your time trying with anything else that is not SPINRITE v6.0 I take my HAT off!! is the Best Utility I ever tested and prove IT DOES WORK. :D

:D
My Thanks to you all and go and get SpinRite v.6.0 and have it as one of your friendliest TOOLS.

PS: Hiren's Boot CD v. 7.7 has IT. CASE CLOSE ;)

Yeap!! I used Norton disk doctor also.. Did not do the JOB!! Actually the history behind SpinRite is that Symantec wanted to buy the SpinRite rights, but the owner said is simply not for SALE, this is so true. Symantec knows for a Fact that this is the best Data Recovery utility out there. Norton Disk Doctor is not even a comparison against SpinRite. But I leave it up to you to try it on your next Data Recovery case where everything fails.
