unstable PSU - I should have listened

I just built my new computer (see sig below) using the 530W Raidmax PSU. I bought it because I wanted to save some $$$ and it seemed like a great deal.

The power supply has been working great. It's been quiet, looks good, and has been running my system with good stability... until now.

I started overclocking my CPU (C2D E6750) from stock 2.66GHz, all the way up to 3.2GHz stable w/out voltage increase. I then went to 3.3GHz and Vista just wouldn't start. I tried raising the voltage a little, still nothing, or a blue screen. So I go back to 3.2GHz stock voltage, and it works fine. I think it may be the PSU that is lagging here. Link to PSU: CLICK

In a previous thread, I asked about this PSU and your opinions. Most people said to not get it, it's cheap and will be unstable for high-end hardware. I should have listened. I will be RMA'ing this to newegg most likely.

Now I need to know which PSU to use. I need something modular, quiet, and stable with overclocking my system. It also can't break my bank (less than $100). What are your suggestions?
 
I wouldn't jump to that conclusion right away. Have you been looking at the voltages and comparing them to what they should be? If they are roughly what they should be then the PSU isn't the issue.

The voltage is lower according to CPU-Z. It moves between 1.32-1.38, it's supposed to be 1.35.

I will try raising the voltage to 1.45 at the highest, and if it still has a problem, I'm going to assume it's the PSU.

I've had that issue on all my Intel boards, for instance my processor is set to 1.500V in the BIOS, but CPU-Z only shows 1.464-1.480v

Thats pretty common, it could be the board just as well as the P/S. Try PC Wizard and Sandra Lite to verify your voltage.
 
I agree with OMEGA, I wouldn't blame the PSU right away. When you over clock you lose stability on the system as a whole. So, it very well could be a several different issues. Also make sure all your settings are correct in the BIOS.
