When I go to Gigabyte's site to update my BIOS there are about 10 updates. I've never updated BIOS before (in life) so do I download and install all of them? and is there a special way i have to install them?

Is it realy necessary for you to update your bios?

If everything working ok then i would just leave it as it is.

Other than that ive never bothred to update mine.

With a newer dual cored model cpu a bios update is often needed if the current version doesn't support it. The latest revisions will also included fixes for other problems seen with a particular model board. If the updates include an installer you would simply run that by choosing the run option as soon as the download completes or double click on the file once it is saved to a folder on the drive. In the device manager you can also right click on an item and choose the update driver option and browse to the folder where updated drivers have been unpacked from a zip file.

just download the latest revision for the EXACT motherboard you have. you just want the newest one.

Somehow the remote access was enabled on the system here. Upon noticing that the bios revision changed from 1010 to 1014 a look into thiis revealed that the update was automatically downloaded and installed. There may a similar feature on the board there which allows for this.

do you have any problems with your pc? if not,.. dont update the bios ;)
if its not broken,.. dont fix it. ( meaning: a bios update can ruin the board if it goes wrong.. ;) )
