Update Ram or whole computer?

New Member
My computer is old.. I want to know whether i should update my ram processer and video card, or if I should buy a new motherboard/ram/video card. The ram that is in the computer is 2x 128MB SDR DIMM ram. Is this ram still good for gaming with the current games or is it time to update?

Well most games highly recommend 1GB, a few have lower or higher specifications. I don't know how you are playing any games at all on that machine.

Don't waste any money on it, time to get a new one.
 
Yeah,start looking for a new computer,or the parts to build one,if you want,you can go up into the desktop section and ask for help in building one if you provide a budget and a description of what you want,but thats assuming that you're going to build.
 
Yeah i say new computer too.

Im not gonna be upgrading mine as its a waste of money.

Buy a new computer,It will work out better in the long run ;) .
 
yea go to the desktop part of these forums and just ask around. give a price range and what you are going to use it for.
 
RAM doesn't make that big of a difference. If you only have 256M in your computer, I'm sure the rest of the machine isn't very up to date. Simply adding more memory probably wouldn't give you any noticable performace increase. Things might load faster, but that's about it.
