Updated PC Build (Need Help Before Buying)

Ok, this is my updated pc build. I have made a few adjustments since last time. I will be building the pc in three weeks and need any suggestions or tips I can get. Any kind of help will be much appreciated. This computer will be used for gaming and school work for my computer engineering major in college.

PSU - CORSAIR CMPSU-850TX 850W ATX12V 2.2 / EPS12V 2.91 SLI

Do I need a CPU cooler? or will the one with the CPU suffice for gaming?

You don't need that much of a PSU. 750 is fine for an eventual multi-card set up. Less than that is fine if you stay with 1 card.

You don't need an aftermarket cooler unless you plan to overclock your CPU.

750w psu wouldn't be pushing it? If I decide to add another 6950 that 750 could handle it no problem?

I'm glad to know that my cpu cooler that comes with the 1090t can handle gaming, that will save me money.

I assume everything I have handpicked will work fine together (i.e. no compatibility issues)? Is the kingston RAM I have selected great for my needs?

Thanks guys, any 750w psu recommendations? I was looking at a corsair or the XFX 750w black edition. However, some reviewers had an experience with the xfx psu blowing up soon after purchase.
 
Is the pre-applied compound that comes with my heat sink fan and cpu good enough or do I need to by thermal paste?
 
I'd go ahead and use some better paste than the stock stuff. Get a better heat sink while you're at it too if it's in the budget.
 
I do not plan on over-clocking so is a after market heat sink necessary?

If I do go for the 750w psu, will it allow my computer to run better? or just consume less power? The 850w corsair is the same price as the xfx 750w be.
 
I also noticed the heat sink and fan has pre-applied thermal paste on it. Since, I am not overcloking my system is it necessary to buy an after market one. If not, do I need to apply after market thermal compound or leave the pre-applied paste on there.

Neither is necessary, but each will keep temps lower. Personally I would change the paste at least. AS5 is good.

750W will run more efficiently that 850W.
 
I am upgrading my motherboard to an asus crosshair iv formula. Everything should still be compatible correct? The board should fit in the tempest evo case right? Thanks in advance.

The newer PSU require lesser power compared to the ATI's or NVIDIA's HD 4xxx GTX 2xxx series.
A 750W will more than enough for sli/cf

Since both are same model PSUs with different wattages.Since the efficiency will be same so the powerloss will be higher in the 850W.Is that what you mean?

I went to Frys Electronics today and the clerk recommended a 850w psu and you all seem to recommend a 750w psu haha. I can't decide.

Completely your choice man.If you are ok with spending the extra money the 850W wont do any harm.
