how do i update the bios on my motherboard?

ive done from windows in safe mode and dos boot disk.
one thing though. when ya go for the updates for the flash read
what the update will do. i suggest if it will not help you, don't do it.
you will be down. you can take specific updates. maybe and usually faster.
on the other hand it may be for specific hardware. maybe you don't need it.

Depends on the board. Some have both, a windows and boot disk.
Firstly, you don't do it unless it is necessary because there is some risk involved. Don't do it just because you have some desire to be "current." Be sure it is necessary. The best way to flash a BIOS is to use a floppy disk that boots in DOS. That is the least risky way. Other methods involve higher levels of risk in return for more convenience.
