Hi,

am new here, and dont know great deal about computers and such but hoping to change that, so if i sound abit stupid im sorry, alot of this computer talk is new to me :)

anyway what it is, is that i have got a pc which im going to use at work, ive re-formatted it using a xp disc i got ages ago with another computer, ive been told i need to update drivers on the motherboard so will run better, which is a VIA VT8235, ive searched for drivers and d'loaded them, the were in .rar file, and it just extracted all drivers into a folder, is the a way i just update all the divers in one go, or do i need to do it one by one in the device manger?

any help will be much apprecaited.

Via don't make motherboards. That sounds like its the chipset the motherboard has. The model of motherboard should be stamped on it somewhere, usually between the pci slots if its an older one, the newer motherboards tend to be stamped between the cpu and memory slots. Is this a custom built machine or a store bought computer? If its store bought then we need the model number of computer.

In the folder that you have the drivers, the drivers should be in exe form and you should be able to click each driver and setup and install each one separate,if not you will have to manually update each driver.

ive had a look at the motherboard, only other thing stamped on it is KM2M COMBO, MS 6738 VER 1.0. does this sound about right? i googled it and it seems these are motherboards, ill try finding drivers for it.

oh and pretty sure the computer has been built by a firm that specialises in that sort of thing for buisnesses, cos its a old work computer that ive been givien to replace my old one at work.

that looks exactly like it yeah, doesnt have the L after combo tho, if that makes any difference.

so am i ok to d'load any of them drivers and install them?

thx
