My sis has just started playing Guild Wars
rolleyes
on her laptop, which has an Intel 965 Express video chipset in it. Not the greatest I know.
She's getting some error message whenever she tries to enter this certain area or something. Basically, the video drivers need updating.
I checked, and the drivers she has on there now are from 2007, so I checked Intel's site and they bought out some news ones last month. I downloaded the .exe but it wouldn't install, said they weren't validated or something. So I tried updating them manually through device manager and searching for the .zip and then the driver file, but it said that the 'best drivers were already installed', they clearly aren't.
I hate messing around with other people's computers and strange built in chipsets. It's Ok for me to un-install the driver through device manager, and then install the new one, right?
Just it tells me I'm about to 'un-install the device' and it worrys me, 'cause if I screw up here computer, my whole family will give me so much grief, lol. Why can't it be a normal computer. Dammit.
Thanks guys!
