Updating Video Card for Dell Dimension 3000

I'm trying to get Sims 3 to play on my daughter's Dell Dimension 3000 desktop computer. It will not play, message states video card needs to be updated to "Video Card Model Shader 2". Is this possible on the Dell Dimension 3000 desktop ? Dell tech support will not respond. She has been able to play Sims 1 & 2 on this computer.

That computer is old and has what i believe is the intel extreme graphics 2, and there is no pci-e or agp slot, so your upgrade options are severly limited on a machine of that low end/age.

Yes, your Dell Dimension 3000 will not be able to run ANY new games AT ALL. I have the same exact computer laying around. The graphics are a 82865G Graphics Controller which cannot even run the crapiest of the games availible.

Personally, I bought a 8400GS PCI Edition, with a new 400W powersupply to fix up my 3000.

Oh, and this computer doesn't and AGP or PCI-E slots, so your stuck with regular PCI.
