Well to upgrade ... get a new chip. To OC you'll have to mess with BIOS settings but i wouldnt imagine you could OC by all that much

you could upgrade to an AMD K62 550 dont think they went much past that not that big a difference in performance though my dad had a K6/2 400 and my Brother In Law had the 550 and you couldnt tell the difference

i think oc it wont be all of a difference its on 400 mhz at that pretty good for a system from 1998 and this old grandpa didnt even crash haha
but maybe putting some preformance in the software may help
wel i dont know if you have any experience with the aptiva e series 243,
but now i can play unreal tournament and hl and other games under 400 or a little above it pretty well
(cleaning out and cooling your system helps alot )

UT99 has an absolutely amazing software rendering engine... very VERY efficient!
