upgrade for Pavilion 6573Z

what can i do to upgrade the 6573Z? right now it is all stock, just like the link. i want to put this in the kids room so they can surf the net. also want to be able to play todays games. thanks for any help. and yes i know it is old, but.......

The video card is limited to PCI, so don't expect anything major. The best you can do is an Radeon x1300, and they go for around $100. Geforce fx5700(+ or - a model) are also avaliable in PCI for less.

RAM is PC100. PC133 RAM should work, but by the specs, you seem to be limited to 128MB sticks.

As for the processor, it's going to be either a Socket 370 or Slot 1. Neither will offer much of an upgrade path. You can download and run CPUz to find out what you have, but you're probably quite limited. 600MHz might be around the board's max...

For the money you'd spend upgrading, you could just purchase a cheap computer. I suggest just looking elsewhere
