Upgrade from built in video card

i have an nvidia gforce2 200 video card from another pc
Is this card any better than my built in graphics? nvidia geforce 6100 nforce 405
is it viable to fit the new card?
i know how to find my way around the insides of a pc, and i'm happy to fit the card, my concern is about drivers and the pc recognising the new video card

I would say you are better off with the onboard graphics, that video card is way outdated. We could help you out better by recommending something if you give us what model of computer you have or model number of motherboard if you have a custom built machine.

You have a pci express video slot. What do you use the system for? If any type of games, what games do you play? Also, how much memory is installed and are you still running XP?

You have PCIe x16 which means you can put a new graphics card in provided you have a good enough PSU, open the side of the computer and record the PSU model and brand and post it in this thread with a budget.

No we mean the Power Supply Unit.
Looks like this and it migh be at the rear top or rear bottom of your tower when you open the case.

You will need to upgrade your PSU first before upgrading your GPU
