Upgrade help

hey im lookin to upgrade my laptop because its well... pretty crap...
anywayz im looking to upgrade my cpu in it but i have come across a problem... i cant find any decent cpu's that has a socket P 478.
if you can metion any cpu's that i can use to upgrade it would be greatly appreciated.

Socket 478 processors are very slow compared to what is out now. I suggest looking for a Toshiba laptop with an Athlon II Dual-Core processor in it.

well it would be smarter to upgrade laptops, but otherwise i looked on ebay and they have a socket 478 which sounds like the same, mostly p4's listed, and 1 or 2 core 2 duo's in there, but again upgrading laptops would do a lot more for you if you can afford it.

yea... i am goin to buy a new laptop... but i cant for another couple of months, so im just goin to spend a couple of bucks on some upgrades in the mean time.... is there a difference between a socket 478 and a socket P 478
