Upgrade Motherboard and CPU, Ram compatibility?

The 3570k is the last generation ivybridge.

The comparison you linked is new haswell 4670k.

Yes the 2 cpu are very close, so it is really personal choice, the i5 maybe a hair better in certain areas but the difference would be so minimal you would not physically notice any difference when using the system, the 8350 is better in some areas but again minimal.

You would not be disappointed by either cpu

Thanks for all your help man I really appreciate it.

Hey James (or anyone else) I have a Field Value
Disk Drive WDC WD3200AAKS-00V1A0 ATA Device

Is that compatible with the gigabyte motherboard you posted?

Most new motherboards use the more up to date standard when it comes to connecting devices, this would be SATA 3. Generally speaking any SATA device will work, but older ATA devices will not.

There are some really good value hard drives out there. I purchased two Western Digital Greens, only 5,400 RPM drives which I thought would cause problems. But being a newer drive it does load battlefield 3 faster than my old PC which had older sata drives. The HDD's are 2TB's each and cost around $100. Knowing your budget is under $800 you can still get a decent 1TB HDD.
