Hello,
I have an older comptuer that I would like to upgrade to get it as fast as I possiblly can without replacing the whole motherboard or getting a whole new PC, but I am not quite sure what my options are for upgrading and I have had a little bit of a hard time finding information about it.
My hardware is:
Gateway2000 P5-133XL
CPU Socket: Socket 5 or 7
Original CPU: 133MHz Pentium
Current CPU: 200MHz Pentium MMX Overdrive
RAM: 128 MB (maximum allowed by chipset)
Internal hardware options: PCI or EISA
BIOS: AMIBIOS 1.00.10.br0t
Chipset: Intel Triton i430
Original Graphics: Matrox MGA Millemium
Current Graphics: ATI XPert 98
Original Sound: Ensoniq Soundscape Wavetable ISA
Current Sound: Creative SoundBlaster16 PCI
Mouse/KB: PS/2 mini DIN ports
Onboard IDE controller: ATA33 with DMA
I know the CPU and Graphics card should be upgradable, but I just dont know what is out there and what will make an impact versus what will not.
Any help with this machine will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
