just dosnt work should i get the better cpu or less
advanced motherboard? im thinking about

I'm guessing that you bought an motherboard that was an different socket than your processor. If your goign to get na E6600 then get an LGA775 motherboard, not an 423 or 478... whats the rest of your rig?

The Abit IP35-E is an LGA775 motherboard, which has Intel's new P35 chipset.

To answer your question, it will work with any Core 2 Duo processor, so yes, an E6600 will work.
