Upgrade or start new?

Ok guys, here's the story.

A couple years ago I built my current system, used for playing games on a 17" TFT (1280x1024).

I've recently got a new wheel to use with driving games, and I need a bigger screen/higher resolution.

Current system specifications:

- Gigabyte GA-945PL-S3
- P4 Cedar Mill 3.2ghz @ 4.25
- 320mb 8800 GTS
- 2gb Corsair 800mhz RAM
- 1TB Samsung Spinpoint F1

I'm gonna be buying a 22" monitor at some point.

The cheapest option I've thought of is buying my mate's old E4300 (£30) and sticking it in my current MoBo, or the most expensive option (at around £600 including monitor) is to basically re-build the entire thing apart from my HDDs.

Thanks,
Langers.

Id replace the motherboard with a decent 775 motherboard, or wait till the end of Oct and a Core i7 motherboard, and a quad core processor. Such as the Q9400 or Q9550. RAM and GPU and HDD are good enough to fuel that processor.
