Upgrade Question

Hey guys. I've had a planned upgrade for a while now. And going to go for it. Here it is:

Mobo - Asus M29NE
CPU - AMD Athlon 64 X2 5400+
GPU- Sapphire Radeon HD3850 512mb or BFG GeForce 9600GT 512mb

Okay, here's my question. I have the cash to upgrade but there are other things that I need to buy at the moment. So, I'm planning to upgrade the Mobo and CPU first. The question is, would I get better FPS/performance overall in games even while using my 7300GS? Would I be able to "up" the graphic settings a bit in game? Or do you think I should do it the other way around, upgrading the GPU first?

Thanks guys.

:)

OK, I just erased everything I typed :P Apparently there's a bit more of a difference than I expected... I supposed if a game supports duel core, you'll see quite a difference. Otherwise, it's primarily going to be based upon the GPU. Still though, I'm pretty sure that 7300 going to hold you back a fair amount, regardless of your CPU.

what if i still play my games on the same graphic settings with what i'm playing with now. would there be a performance/FPS increase if i upgrade my CPU and still keep the 7300? i'm not bothered with playing games on low-med as long as they run wel. :)

9600GT performs on par with HD3870, so it is better than HD3850

Get 9600GT

alright. 9600GT it is. thanks for telling me that. ;)
