well, in my mind its just a waste of money. even if it is just 50 dollars. so many reviews ive read claim the interface is much more awkward than 7 and the only reason you would prefer it is having an android.
upgrade to 8?

It's $40, and the "interface" you're talking about is quite easy and nice to use, and it's also easy to get used to. You can still use the Windows desktop for all your "legacy" programs just fine. Just because you have an Android doesn't mean that's the only reason you'd want Windows 8, in fact, I don't see how that's related unless you got a tablet running Windows RT. So your argument is invalid.

Hey Lucasbytegenius let me ask you...
I did not have enough time to fully try all Windows 8 features and investigate them,but since you did,is there a way to use normal interface such as in Windows 7 instead of Metro?
Or are you forced to use Metro only?

Yes, there's an "app" on the Start Screen which is named Desktop which takes you to a desktop that looks much like Windows 7's. Look:

And you all know that Windows 8 is built from the Windows 7 platform. So, it is not going to be another Vista. The only way it is going to be another Vista is when other people that has not tried it and then tell people not to buy 8. Right now, I'm running the Release Preview version till I come up with the money to buy 8 professional November 30. I am coming from Windows XP professional x64, I ran that one for 3 yrs with no problems. So, that is why I am going to buy 8, I was also a beta tester for 7.
Granted it is targeted more towards the "Smart Phones, and tablets that have touch screens". But it works quite nicely on a desktop also. And if you don't like the Metro UI, like everyone says, you can put on a 3rd party software like Start 8 or some other program that will boot like 7. And then you can choose to go into the Metro as you like.
But if you have Windows 7, keep it. But if you are upgrading from xp or vista, I would get 8. And I would get the Professional in stead of the standard 8.
Also, MS is only selling it as a (System Builders) version. No retail. And the upgrade till January 31, 2013

Ok, I just build my computer desktop and finally installed a new clean version of Windows 8 Pro. Before I decided to install Windows8 instead of Win7, I read a lot of reviews, and articles, as well as watched a lot of YouTube videos. If you actually get Win8 and use it for a couple of days, it is not bad at all! In fact, I like it better than Win7. I saw a YouTube video that the guy was pissed off that the X button is gone and you have to click in the lower left corner now. Common! What's the difference between click top right or lower left ?? The only thing I needed to get used to is the design, and where everything is at and how to navigate to stuff. I personally like the design. I love the start screen and stuff. And I love clicking the on button on my computer and it will be booted within seconds! It's fast, the animations are awesome. And like Lucas said, you can always click the desktop app and it will bring you to your desktop. You want the start button back? There is an app for that! I like the metro UI then just having icons on my desktop. I still have Win7 on my laptop, but I can't wait to get home tonight and play around with Win8 again. Then again, I only used it for 2 days so I haven't really experienced the issues that others have been having.
I say spend the $40-$50 and buy it. If you don't like it, install Win7. Now you still have Win8 so if they do some major updates to it that you like, you can always install it again.
