Upgrade to Windows 7

Hi I was wondering whether anyone could offer me some advice.

I currently have a Laptop running windows Vista. There is a special deal for students to upgrade to windows 7 professional for £30.

I was wondering whether it’s worth upgrading?

Will I see any benefits on a relatively old laptop such as mine. Will windows 7 actually make performance worse.

The Specs of the computer are:

Inter Core Duo @ 1.86 GHZ
2.00 GB Ram
80 GB Hard Drive
