Upgrade Win 2000 to XP: how do I get my programs?

after I've installed XP, all programs are still stored under 2000.
Can I simply copy XP, or should I reinstall everything?
Can I get 2000 with Delete?
 
When you installed Xp you should have formatted the 2000 partition and installed Xp.

What i would do is,Install Xp again but this time make sure you format the hard drive before installing Xp.

Then whens thats installed,Install all your drivers,programs again.
