upgrade without buying??

:confused:upgrade without buying new pc????:confused: im running a xp home with a 768mb ram and have a geforce3 graphics card....can i upgrade to a card that will be able to run new games?
 
Depends on the machine. You can upgrade, but they age of the box will determine how much advantage the upgrade will be.

AGP cards are pretty much obsolete, and hence, the games that are made today are geared more towards PCI-E. so spending the money on an AGP card is kind of a waste IMO. this is a similar boat i was in a year ago when my video card died. even though i found a replacement for free for a little while, i decided it wasn't worth it to put any money towards an outdated AGP card.

so in other words, no, i don't think you would really find it advantageous to upgrade unless it was the entire computer.
