Hey all, i got a bit of money tucked away, and i was thinking of upgrading something in my "rig" I was jus wanting to get a few opinions on what it should be.

I have thought of getting another 2 sticks of ram bringing it to 2GB, but i herd that duel channel would not work? if it won't would i even miss it running 2GB?

Hard drive is another option i was thinking of getting a Raptor 74GB or 150BG are they all that good?

Processor, i had thought of getting a X2 4200/4400 any suggestions?

Sound card, at the moment i am using on board sound. I keep seeing the audigy 2 out of the corner of my eye, now and then, is it worth it? would i notice any increase in sound quality?

Thats what i was looking at, but any other suggestions are welcome :D
I am in the UK so no US based websites please :D Thnx all :D

well if ur ram does work in dual channel, then i wuld go with that. if it doesnt then get the X2 4200+.

If you have a Socket 754, then no you dont have Dual Channel, but if you have a Socket 939 then you may. Even if you dont, you would notice an improvement in some games with 2GB, and it will also let you run more programs in the background while you play a game.

IMO, the Raptors are way over rated. You would be much better off with say a 320GB 16MB Cache 7200RPM SATAII Drive.

I would go with the X2 4200+.

If you have nice speakers or headphones, then yes you'll notice a difference. I would go with the Audigy 2ZS, not the Audigy 2.

I got about £300 on its way.

Thnx for your suggestions geoff5093, i got a 939 board. At the moment i am torn between the x2 4200 and the ram, hard drive i think i will leave for now.
