Upgrade

Hiya all,

I want to upgrade my current computer (In Siggy)but i just realy dont know if it would be worth it?
Would i be dissapointed?
I have no set price limit as yet because im still deciding if i should go ahead and upgrade or not.
I mean, i soppose i would have to buy a new Psu,Graphics card & at least 1Gb of memory before i can play something like Counter strike:Source.
Could my Sempron processor be a bottleneck for gaming?It is quite quick though for general use i must admit

Also i heard that the Sempron 2800+ @ 2Ghz is the equilvilent to a 2.8Ghz intel chip?

i suggest you wait
conroe is gonna be out after approx. a month
prices will drop
and then you can get what you want.

You should be able to play counter strike source on your current setup just fine. Your CPU is not your bottleneck for gaming, it is your video card.

But if he gets a new vid card (say a 6600 ultra or 6800 or better) then the proc is gonna be a major bottleneck.
