Upgraded to AMD Phenom II from Athlon II and now I can't install the new heatsink...

The most you would have done with the screwdriver was scrape some paint off the board.

Now just screw the push pins onto the heatsink and pop it on there.

Lol, so quick question should I have the fan (blade side) facing towards the back of the pc or towards the front? Seems like the back would be best seeing as there is another fan on the back right where it would be... Or would it be best to be facing the front so it has a fan hitting on both sides?

You want the actual fan facing towards the front of the case and the fins facing the rear of the case so the hot air blows towards the back and out the rear exhaust fan.

could pop that on the other end of the cpu cooler for a push pull, would need one of these though:

Not sure how much help it would do, the case is really small, might do no good, I would not suggest much more in terms of upgrades, only thing you could really do is a SSD or a faster GPU at this point. SSD will require a OS reinstall.

What SSD would be the best to get? I wanna start building my own pc and I'll use this with my dell for now and then transfer it over. So what would be top of the line?

Much better. My 965 with the Cooler Master Hyper N cooler idles around 36-38 and maxes at about 50 when gaming.
