Its not really that I mind buying a new case, just that my whole point of sticking with this old system is to see if I can milk the life out of an old Dell and learn in the process. Buying all these new parts are just about making it a new computer all together.
This is more of a project to me than buying a serious new computer. I'm just trying to push my luck with it, and I don't mind doing things that are a little bit unorthodox to make it work. I just want to make this thing play COD2 and Swat 4 decently at DirectX9 if possible. I will buy a whole new comp at the end of 2006 regardless of whether I buy a new case now or not.
But so you don't think it would fit into my mobo? Then I would need a new one regardless right? Are there any alternative cooling options I could use on my CPU?
If all that becomes too complicated I will just keep my 1.8ghz and buy a new shitty Dell fan and let it die.
