Upgrades and conservation

Hey guys,

I've built two computers since my last post on here. Its going great and I don't regret doing it. I made the decision to do some upgrades on my original build.

Anywho, I was curious to know if anyone can give me some advice on conserving the parts I will be replacing tonight?

I'm switching out a CPU, GPU, adding more ram and a HD.

Is there anything more to doing upgrades than just replacing the parts? Is there anything specific to look out for, anything I SHOULD know?

CPU wasnt that much of an upgrade.. GPU was the big upgrade

i bought and built the computer around this time last year the last one i built was for a friend last month.. was running around of hd space.. a new game is coming out that i want to play on all high

personaly i dont rly see much of a point going from a i5 750 to a 760. You were probably better off just getting a nice heatsink and OC'ing. Would save some money as well. GPU is nice, i wish i had one of them. You currently have 4gigs of RAM and wanna add another 4 gigs to make a total of 8 gigs of RAM, is that correct? if so you dont need that much RAM for gaming. 4 is plenty, heck 2 is even enough.

btw wot games comming out u wanna play?

any ideas on what to do to make the parts im taking out stay in good shape and able to work with a new computer if i build one?
