I'm thinking og upgrading my PC . I had the first generation LGA 775 processor and my mobo MSI 945P neo2 could only support up to Dcore processor but not the core 2 duo . Im running Window Vista Home Premium with my current 7600GT and 2 x 512mb ddr2 533mhz . So my question is should i change to Dcore and get an extra 1GB of ram OR change my system by getting a new mobo Core 2 Dou and a new set of ram ?

You can buy Pentium D's clocked at 3.0-3.4 for less then the price of an E6300, which would be a drastic improvement over your current processor, I would recommend doing so. Maybe look on eBay since they are a lot cheaper on there.

So does that mean . a Dcore 3.4 ghz 2 x 2mb is better than E6300 ? . but the rpice in singapore . the Dcore 3.4 is abit lower then E6300 . they both cost around $300 SGD . so about the ram i'll stick to 533mhz ? .

It's a matter of what you need and use your system for. If it is for work purposes, and a bit of gaming, then just simply get a Pentium D, it will do the job. However, if you wish to play some recent games on high settings, you would be better off buying a Core 2 Duo. When upgrading your system, it's only wise to do so if your system isn't cutting it for what you need it for, and if you do need to upgrade, upgrade just that bit more than what you need to save yourself constantly spending money on new parts.
