Upgrading from Fx 8120 to 8350 worth it?

I have a 8120 OC to 3.8, would I see any differences with a 8350 when it comes to gaming.
GPU: HD 7870 ( I plan on cross-firing)
RAM:8gb
PSU: Corsair CX600
HD seagate 2TB

You can get more then 3.8 with a 8120 pretty easy. Depends on what money means to you. Say if you sell your 8120 and buy a 8350, would be ok. Performance difference isn't that much if your overclocking both. If you do go for it I would save some and get the 8320. If you got a good motherboard and cooling, you can crank up that 8120 to between 4.2/4.5 easy.

the fx 8120 is a great overclocker, had 1, so with a good mobo, and a good cooler, it isent worth the money if you look at gaming performance.

My motherboard is a GA-990FX and I have a standard Water cooling system

And what is a standard water cooling?
but then clock it, normally it will go higher then 3.8ghz.
I could run my fx 8120 at 4.2 on air, any higher the package temp was to high.
And on wc (H80i) it would go to 4.5ghz

The water cooling doesn't have any labels to what brand it is, I got it off a friend.

Unless you can get a pretty good sale I'd stick it under the 'noticeable-but-not-really-worth-the-cost' category, although the Vishera has a bit more headroom up around 4.8-5.0

Could you take a picture of said WC unit, out of curiosity?
Also, once you start bumping voltage these suckers get pretty hot. My H100 has a hard time keeping the OC in range.

This is the WC I have.

It's has a fan on each side

I upgraded from a fx8120 to a fx8350 and from stock to stock no overclocking at all and I honestly see little to no difference

Doesn't look like any cpu block I have seen. Don't know what brand it is. Just leave you CPU voltage at auto and start raising the X and see how far you can go with it stable. Then check you temps under load.

If you reach the overclock you want and the temp is oke, then put the vcore manual in and slowly back down, these where my settings on the fx, 4,2ghz on air, ant 1600mhz memory don't mean yours will use the same settings but It is a good start, don't forget to disable all power settings.

ratio 17.5
turbo disable
cpu bus freq 240
cpu/nb and htt at 2400mhz the vcore manual at 1.25
i have 1600mhz mem and started from 1333 it gives my now 1599, mem vcore manual at 1.5vcore
cpu spread disable
cpu/nb llc auto
cpu llc ultra
cpu current capability 110%
cpu/nb current capability also 110%
cpu power phase control standard.
cpu voltage freq auto.
and the power options of.
cpu vcore in bios at 1.3625

100% stable for me.
