Upgrading from Vista to XP

Yeah I always thought that XP was better than Vista :D

So it wasn't a surprise for me the name of the thread :D

I'm still curious about what comes after Vista which will see the last 32bit editions there. From that point on MS will be strictly producing 64bit versions provided those don't become ME III + IV + V + VI+....sequels. Glad I got that old 98 beater running again just in case. :P

I'd love to see a comparison of searches between XP and Vista in that article. XP's search feature is so awful and slow it's not even usable!

Well, from my experience of vista home premium I upgraded to on my laptop and my PC Both computers hardware is meant for Vista and well... Vista runs and boots heck of alot fast with higher fps in games.. Yes the copying files is faster in XP but I could care less when it comes to that. I'm a gamer and what ever works better with games I'm with so, I love Vista.. Plus... when it explorer stops responding and aslong as most programs you can simply hit restart and it will restart that program exactly where it was when it crashed. So you lose no information.

Windows Vista or Windows XP? I'm getting more and more interested in Linux Operating Systems personally.

Try OS X, you'll be amazed how well it really runs.

Vista sucks, and I think its obvious that Vienna will be was Vista was suppose to be. Hopefully, MS will learn their lesson and start making a better product.

I'm diggin Vista Business. Going from XP Pro to Vista to me clearly Vista was the better choice. I got more lockups in XP than I have in Vista. Vista everything is instantaneous.

Oh well opinions are like assholes, everyones got one.

The pros and cons can be long winded on any version of Windows if you look hard enough. When first trying out 98SE on an old I486 system it ran like a turtle ssslowwwww... like many now complain about Vista. Why did 98SE run slow?

Besides the bbvious leap from 16 to 32bit 98 was a larger version with more features included in it by default. 16mb was the minimum recommendation for memory there. People complain about Vista being a memory hog at 512 while that could easily be said about XP when comparing 128mb to 16mb seen with 98SE! 98 however had a 512mb limitation for physical memory there however while XP and Vista see a 4gb barrier for simply being 32bit.

lol I like the end of ur post :D

ut oooooo Here goes another XP bashes Vista bashes XP thread again. !!!
(with hands covering eyes over of course :P )

You can tell from one of those that "BG" must be paying out some of the big cash to purposely have some come out and jump around like total .... :P But he's the big money man there and gets what he wants would be the thought about some videos you'll see.

The MS/Mac OS X one points at Windows now seeing Apple/Mac type items which would be no big surprise since Vista now sees the free Linux memory tool known as memtest included on the installation disk. But regardless of how amusing youtube videos can be actually running and working with any OS is how you find out for yourself whether or not it is suitable for you own system needs.
