Upgrading Graphics Card Help

Hey everyone. I want to upgrade my graphics card to a 8800 GTS but I don't know if it can fit into my computer :sigh: I have not upgraded anything since I bought this computer.

The computer is a HP m7790y.

Intel Core 2 Duo E6600
350W Power Supply [Upgrade Needed]
2GB RAM
500GB Hard Drive
NVIDIA GeForce 7500LE

Hi,

What do you mean with fit? Do you mean for space or for the slot? If you are concerned about the slot, then yes it will fit. Because they both work on PCI-e 16x.

i thought the reviews said u needed 2 free pcie slots since it takes up 2 slots

no, it takes one pcie slot, but the cooler is so big it blocks the expansion slot below it. if you need that slot below the pcie, then you cant put the card in.

you probably can sacrifice the slot below it tho.

your goona need a new psu for the upgrade. check the model with people on the forums before you buy it.

u also need to see if u wanna run at high resolution, if the answer is yes, then u need the 640mb version.

didn't received my 8800 yet, so i'm not sure, i think it'll be thight, but it'll fit.

I think you gonna have to change your chassis.As I have have heard that even in medium chassis it's very tight to fit.

yeah, maybe. I have no problems with my case it's compatible with the 8800Ultra
