Upgrading harddrive

So I finally got a bigger HD! No more 80GB! WOOO HOOO...

Only problem is, is there a way I can just transfer the entire contents of my 'old main' HD onto the new one and be able to plug it into the computer without a problem? Or would it be better to reinstall everything and waste a half a day?

*Note* 'old main' hd has windows xp installed on it and all my other programs.

I've really been wanting to try Clonezilla but the need hasn't yet presented itself. Maybe you could give that a try and let me know how it goes!

What brand hard drive is the new one? If its western digital, you can download their version of acronis true image and just clone the original drive.

use the utility, and if that doesnt work there are plenty of cloning utilities out there

Like said Seagates DiscWizard works well. Used it a bunch of times.
