hi, im new to the forum and i want to completely upgrade my computer. Processor, motherboard, ram mostly that, because i'm a hardcore gaming fanatic :D. Anyways, my computer model is this: Hp Pavilion KN460AA-ABV m9280.me
my current ram is 3072 mb, my processor is an Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40 ghz.
Please keep the answer relatively simple, and even though i know a bit about computers, im no buff

Budget, medium. Not like wha-bam, but i want good-quality graphics on my computer, country, U.A.E, Middle east.

What do you mean by "medium"??
My mid-range gaming PC will be
core i5 760 + p55 mobo
or
Phenom IIx4 955 + AMD 870 Mobo
4GB RAM
GTX 460 1GB/ 6850
500W PSU

What is your medium??

Welcome!

How many sticks of RAM do you have currently?

Hopefully you have 2x1GB sticks and 2x512MB sticks.
If you have 3x1GB sticks, your memory is only running in Single Channel, which will reduce performance.
Motherboards with Dual Channel RAM are meant to have either 2 sticks or 4 sticks (depending on the board).

My advice:
Add another 1GB stick of RAM (or 2x1GB sticks if you have 512's right now), upgrade your Power Supply, and get a new Graphics card.

The Q6600 Quad is a very capable processor, and far from obsolete.
