I have a Dell XPS 8000 i7 PC - I want to upgrade the graphics card on it.

Can I pick any card or do I have to look for cross compatibility?

what graphics do you have now? what is your budget? it looks like you should be able to support the modern graphics card on the market right now but to be sure, is this your computer:

EDIT: looks like it is only a 350 watt power supply. to get anything new, you'll probably end up having to get a new power supply.

Hi there - My current graphics card is a 512MB ATI Radeon HD 4350. I don't know what power supply I have but, do you know how I can find out?

My budget at the moment is £120

By the way Joh - add me on Skype please. I could do with your knowledge >.>

My skype name is usmaanz.

What the hell 350 watts powering an I7??? Holy crap man get that PSU out of that case!!!

I'd suggest a 5770 which is the max of your budget, but since you also need a PSU we'll knock it back to a 5750, which is almost as strong as a 5770 anyway with a good bit smaller price tag.

And for the PSU-

About 20 pounds over your budget, but then you got a decent PSU that won't fail on you and take out your motherboard with it.

If you can't afford to do the 5750 on top of the PSU, you can get a 5670 which is still a WAY WAY WAY stronger card than a 4350-

What resolution monitor are you running? And what are you doing on your PC? Gaming? Video editing/rendering?
