Upgrading my OEM motherboard

I am upgrading to a new motherboard, and I am moving a OEM Windows XP Home Edition to the other motherboard as well. I do have a physical backup of my hard drive, for if anything should go wrong. Do you guys have a good way to go about having Windows fix it's self to the new hardware?

Thanks guys, and Happy Holidays.

Two things to consider
1. Depending on how drastic the hardware change you may have to reinstall the OS
2. Depending on the OEM, they may have bound windows to a hardware ID so you might be forced to reinstall

I have installed my version of windows on another PC, and it required me to activate. Perhaps this can be an issue? Can I use "windows repair install" for my new motherboard?
