Upgrading my spec, best options to make? URGENT

If you intend to game, I wouldn't. Stick to at least a 5750

+1, with the rebates and discount at the moment on the Corsair units at the egg, they are just about unbeatable. Shame the XFX deals aren't still on

I'm getting the Corsair 550
So what do you think? The 5750? In your opinion, what will work the best with the AMD athlon II x2 240 2.8ghz and original motherboard(if that matters)? (Aspire M3202)

Yah, but the thing im asking is will the card(s) work good with my x2 2.8ghz and original motherboard?
I want to run games like maybe GTA IV, MW2, Crysis so on. But not completely maxed out, just so they run nicely without lag and stuff like that

yes it will work, and yes it will run them with ease, most maxed out ;)

Alright, thanks. So I don't need no quadcore or a better dualcore? :)

It would help, however for the games put, only GTA4 would greatly benefit. Crysis is only coded for dual core, MW2 can utilize 3 cores, but will work fine, and be able to be maxed out, on a dual core

=EDIT=

as for graphics memory, the graphics memory type doesn't matter for compatibility, it is only your computer memory that needs to be a specific type to work with your board

Alright! Thanks for your help!

THe 5770 is a cool card and uses little power. You chose a good psu, there should be not overheating issues. Just monitor it via the catalyst control software.

BTW, about the temperatures.. It won't overheat will it?

this. On my 5770, overclocked it hits max mid 50's with reference heatsink and fan, at stock it doesn't go over 40. It is good up to around 100 degrees, so that is very cool

Okay, thanks.

One more question... The cables that I have to attach to the HD5770, ( Done in this video at 3:48 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T78ReEGLwCA&feature=related ) can I find them and attach them to the card or do they come with the card? Or do I have to buy new shit?

My cpu won't overheat will it? Sorry for asking so many questions, I'm a nuub

The corsiar 550W will have 2 PCIe power cables with PCIe written on them. The CPU shouldn't overheat, it wont have anything to do with it.

Alright. What's your opinion on the HD 5670 and the 5750? Are they good cards? Since they're kinda cheap i'm asking.
