upgrading my vaio notebook

hi all, my first post on here :D
can anyone help me with upgrading my laptop please.
i have a vaio k series laptop and i want to upgrade it a little.
i know i can upgrade the memory, that part is the easy bit, but, i am getting to a brick wall trying to find out what the maximum hard drive is i can put in it and the recommended models and also i would like to upgrade the cd/rw for a dvd/rw (internal), i know i can purchase the external type but i want to keep my portability, so, i presume that i can swap the drive for the dvd as the next model up had the dvd/rw but sony seem to be keeping shtum about it saying that i should buy an external dvd/rw or buy a new laptop.
any help is much appreciated.

What are the specs of your laptop| Ill tell you what you can upgrade| Or whether its time to buy a new one.

well this is the only laptop drive i have seen(other than the stock one) that doesnt mean that they dont exist, but this is the only one i have seen.

Sounds nice reaper, not to cut into your post but I'm interested in buying a new laptop. Do you like yours? Would you recommend your Viao?

You could probaly upgrade the ram easy enough and the hard drive other than that your lappy is top notch, un less you want a newer graphics card.

yes kat, i would recommend it 100%, when i purchased it, i was originally going for the fujitsu-siemens amilo then i saw the black onyx screen on the vaio and that sold it to me, so i compramised a few specs (dvd/rw + 1gb ram) to go for this.
the model number is pcg-k115m
and i have had zero probs with it so far touch wood.

i am happy with the graphics, i dont really push the graphics to the limit gaming wise, i was already thinking about the ram, it takes a 200 pin sodimm card and can take 2x512mb but before i did that i was just thinking for my chrissie prezzie off the wife she could get me the dvd/rw so if i could just swap the drive i was gonna go to a computer fair and get one but according to sony they don't allow you to upgrade anything but the ram lol
 
you could upgrade the optical disk drive, but be carefull when going to a computer fair. take extra PRECAUTION
