Upgrading RAM

You will need to confirm that before making a mistake on memory there. Another thing to remember is the type as well as the speed. Look at the memory installed and see if it has a row of chips on one side only or on both sides of the dimm. If you have single sided memory now you will have to order the same type.

Go to this site http://www.crucial.com/ and click on the scan my system button on the right hand side of the page near the middle. This will install a program to scan your system and tell you what type of ram, processor, motherboard, video card, etc.. that you have. Then you can either buy the parts from them or use the info to find some better ram.

Ive actually used that on my dell i have at home to help me increase the ram on it. If you dont want to download it then just go on the right hand side of the main page to the crucial memory advisor tool. There you select you make and model and itll tell you what you need.

hope that helped and i didnt come to late

sweet, thanks for the suggestion crucial.com is nice, I pretty much knew this RAM would work I just wanted to check with you guys, thanks I will now buy this and upgrade yeeeeah

I run 2gb of Kingston Value Ram here without problems even while gaming. That along with Crucial and Corsair are some of the best makes to go with. Just verify the actual model you are running before placing the order.
