Help! Am i getting ripped off or not?

Hey everyone, im looking to upgrade to a new gaming computer. My budget is rougly around 1500. My local computer shop in town is selling this one: http://www.taspro.com.au/taspro-commander-ms-ii-i7-3770-8gb-1tb-hd7950-special-edition?path=38_150

I am wondering if i am getting ripped off or this is a good buy, i'm pretty good with computers but decided to get some expert knowledge... If anyone knows any good gaming computers around my price range could you steer me in that direction.

Priceing is in line.

I just built the following for around $1350.00 U.S. plus tax.

Corsair 500R your case is $50 cheaper
i5 3570K not a i7 which an i7 is $100 more
Gigabyte Z77 UDH5 I don't know what gigabyte board your getting
Window 7 (Actual Disc.)
H100 CPU Cooler So add $100 Which is even on cost now.
1 TB WD HD I don't know what HD you getting.
128 SSD Add $130.00
GTX 670 Add $50-100 More depending on which brand.
Corsiar Modular 650 Watt is a couple dollars more than the antec as of now.

So it sound like they will make around $300 on your build depending on your actually componets. This is probably right for a Comp. shop if you don't want to build your own. I'd save the money and build your own, just my .02.....

Here in the U.S, that's about a $1100-1200 build(DIY price). I know the prices over there are a bit higher then here in the U.S, so that price would very from $50-100 more. So if there charging $1500 for that build, then they're making $250-300 extra, just for building it.

IMHO, I think you should DIY, and experience the accomplishment of building a PC. Also, if you DIY, you can pick your own PC hardware to your liking. Most importantly, you save $250-300 that can go towards making a better quality PC.

Any direction you go is acceptable. But DIY gives so much pride and enjoyment of accomplishment. And if your worried about doing it yourself cause your not familiar with it, don't let that shy you away, we're all here to help ever step of the way. GL!

I just spent $1,350 in Canadian dollars (similar to USD I guess, but in Canada, they jack up the prices like crazy!). I must note that i7 is a bit too expensive to be 'gaming' if that's your objective. Building your own computer isn't that hard Just make sure if you do, keep posting to get feedback from experts if parts you have chosen are compatible and stuff.
