Uploading New OS.

Hello, I have a Lap Top with no Drive now I just bought a external disk drive, On my lap top it has Windows XP Pro but its locked beause i dont know the pass to the account its a long story how it happen, Any way to get back on point, Could I just insert the disk to the drive and turn on the lap top and it will install or do i need to loged in?

If you have a Retail install disc, you can format and reinstall Windows, as long as you boot from the disc.

I bought a brand new disk, I bought Windows Vista but its on Windows XP Pro. Could I still do it?

If your laptop has the correct requirments then yes you can install vista on it.

Yes, you can boot from the disk and install Vista.

BUT, what Carl meant, is that your laptop may not be able to run Vista properly.
