UPS for PSU

i wasn't really sure where to put this (here, accessories, desktop) but feel free to relocate it. anyway, i'm planning on getting a UPS for my system, as twice now i've had blackouts that have fried some part of my computer (mainboard, videocard...) but i know jack about UPS's and have no idea how big/powerfull a UPS i would need; watts, VA, whatever, i'm not even sure what VA means.

huh? he wants info on UPS's not PSU's
and i'd like to kno also about UPS's.
do they all come with surge protector? or do you need to buy one seperatly?

UPSs come with a built in surge protector. Look at all of APC's products.

I have the 350va version, and it works great, as it keeps the computer up so I can save my things and shut it down. It have 3 outlets of jsut surge protection and 3 of surge protection and battery backup.

ok, this is the UPS i'm planning on getting (i decided to forget abotu the little, 200w computer) should be sufficient for my computer as far as wattage, but can someone that knows about UPSes tell me whether or not the VA rating will be enough to power my system (see sig for specs) and my 17" LCD monitor?
