urated dvds

unrated probably has a lot more nudity, cursing... stuff like that.
you're talking about a movie i hope...

is telling those high school kids that this version may be the x-rated version of the theatrical version :)

unrated are sometimes movies or games which are opensource or home movies and whatnot who couldn't afford to have it approved by ESRB or PEGI or something similar and so it can't be sold in shops etc but legally no matter what the content if its unrated anyone can watch/play it :)

Well, I have seen both the original movie 'Eurotrip' and the unrated edition of Eurotrip. The difference was more scenes, explicit language and actions etc.

Breaks.

i think its just a gimmick to sell dvds by holding back a few scenes from the theater version and putting them back for the dvd version.

Usually the scenes in an unrated version would cause it to get an "R" rating and most movie coupanies will miss their target audience 13-18. So they tone it down, only allow i "F-bomb" and a couple b00bs and get a PG-13 out of it.

I buy the unrated versions when it's available to see the difference.

Not always. An unrated movie is just that, it's not rated. If you're talking about say, American Wedding vs the unrated version, then yes, the unrated version does have more nudity and cursing.

Most 'unrated' versions of movies I'm seen are nothing special. Like meanman said, it's just a gimmick. It's to trick kids into thinking "OMG, LOL, UNRATED = pr0n!!!!!!!", when really it's just a couple of extra scenes that may or may not include anything note worthy.

The only difference with Epic Movie was The naked girl coming out of the wardrobe and the Samuel L Jackson wanna be saying the F word 8 times or so. It only would have drawn an R rating, but was never submitted for rating with that content. That one was just stupid.

I thought the original American Pie, which I believe started the unrated thing, was funnier with him up on the counter with the pie and ...
