E6400, Not overclocked
Recently I did some wire management, before my CPU was around 45-48C. I put it all back together, and noticed that my CPU fan was not properly connected! "This is why I get a high CPU temperature," I realized, "It's not properly connected!" So I didn't take it fully off, but I properly connected it and twisted the connectors in place. I tugged at it a little and it was secure both up and down and left and right, and in and out it wasn't moving much at all.
I loaded up, checked my temperatures, all lower, except for CPU temperature which is 70C!! The question is, what exactly do I do now? I can't afford a new HSF yet, but why has it suddenly gone up 20C. I used to have a P4 connector running on top of the fan, I removed it and re-routed it elsewhere.
Thoughts? This is concerning me, as Everest reports the same temperature as Speedfan.
