Hi my pc already served me good for almost 2 years.. Back 2 weeks ago, ive been experiencing lock ups and crashes during games (wow and such) so i took measures to recover this(wiping the fan, shift my pc to an air-cond room etc etc).. but the prob still persists until it reached the max state, unable to display a thing and whenever i power on, a long beep follows up by 2 short ones (bios beeps proven something wrong with my gpu)so i assured it must be old enough already and should be replaced.. Yesterday i picked up a brand new msi 7600gs 256mb.. To my surprise, the 3 goddam beeps sound again.. Im now so confused and dont know what should i do.. Please help, thanks

Only thing I can think of is a power supply issue to the card/slot.

So, I'm guessing faulty motherboard or dying psu.

I might be totally wrong though, see what other people think.

3 beeps usually means there is something wrong with the graphics. DO you have another system? If so it should be every easy, just test each component until you get to the faulty one.

One long- two short beeps is a video error. If your old card went out and the new one doesnt work you might have a bad PCIe slot. You could try resetting the bios, the voltage or PCIe bus might have got off somehow. If that doesnt work find a old PCI video card just to see if it will boot

I have 3 pcs but unfortunately the cards only supports pcie slot, other 2 are agps.. I guess its something wrong with my mobo already :// oh yea how can i reset my bios and stuffs?

Of course you can reset your BIOS, there should be a jumper to do that. Or you can just take the battery out for about 20 seconds without the mains power connected.
