urgent help needed

havent a clue about computers in need of some help.
ive hooked my pc onto my tv i got the lead and it works watching vidoes and using the internet but i cant get my warcraft game to work on it does anyone know how to get the game to work on the tv (i start the game and it comes up with "out of range" on the top left hand corner of the tv please.

you will need to turn down the resolution of your graphics, obviously your tv has a limited resolution hence the out of range message
 
im going to sound stupid but how do i do that

right i went onto control panel and went on the dispaly settings it cureently is on 1024 by 768 which is the highest ive dropped in down to 960 by 600 and it still doenst work am i doing something wrong i have no clue about computers so bear with me please

Im not a gamer but assuming your using something like xp or higher. go to your desktop and right click it. Screen resolution then click on resolution and turn it down to the next lower res.
 
go to control panel, then appearence and personilization, display, then screen resolution, try turning down the resolution, try 2 or 3 less then if that works just move it up one at a time till you get to the highest resolution your tv can handle
 
Im not sure but might want to look at the tv. Might have an option to turn it down there also. just guessing. That sony i have has about every feature ya can think of. just some thing worth considering. get out the manual for the tv or and start looking in the options with the tv controller.
 
i can only adjust in twice and both are not working i dont really understands its an old game from year 2002 and its a sony bravia 32inch tele

I think the problem here is that the game is trying to run at a different resolution than the desktop is. Try hooking the computer up to something else and changing the resolution to what the TV supports, then changing your monitor back to the TV. If you can't do that then you'll probably have to edit the game's configuration file to force the resolution.
