ok on xbox live iam reallly laggie mic and play wise

could it be my connection? iam connected threw an ethernet to a wireless router (which has beeen slow for laptops for me) could it be router or cord? i also have a 'mod' chip not for modding just a better hdd and media center uh... what....how can i fix thiis

It's your wireless connection. Wireless and Xboxlive isn't the greatest. Try hooking the XBOX straight to the modem, and it should solve your problem. The mod chip will have no effect on your connection..

Yeah, make sure that when you buy a router it has an XBOX logo on it. Those routers are certified for usage with XBox Live. I know that there have been some D-Link routers in particular that have this feature.
