US Only Websites

Does anyone know how to view a website when it says available to the US only, i have tried using a united states proxy, but it didn't work for some reason, i only want to know this to view something, its not illegal or anything, but if it is a sensitive matter then can someone pm me, im desperate, thanks.

Well I found out that if you had America Online (AOL) installed with the US cersion, you can view US only website... Don't know why though.
